With fifteen years of blog posts, we’d accumulated a lot of junk around here.
Recently we cleaned out a lot of the trash – old personal posts about boring stuff – and categorized the remaining ~2k posts to make it easier to find stuff by topic.
Now, at the top of BrentOzar.com, when you hover over Blog, you’ll get flyout menus for categories like these:
- Backup and Recovery
- Development
- Indexing
- Production Administration
- And of course, Humor

What about adding one more option on “Archives by Author”, let’s say “Other”? Had few occasions where I remembered author but couldn’t rephrase title and search wasn’t all that great . I am aware adding everyone else won’t work for more or less obvious reasons, but being able to filter only their posts would be a nice feature, as long as those posts are still staying.
