Thanks, Bill, glad I can help.
I am wondering how to become a DBA too. What should I do
Ha! Good to see you online, man! Where are you working these days?
Hi Brent,
This my short story,
I have 8 years IT experience from Windows support, Desktop Engineer, Level II Desktop Support (All this include: Windows 2003/2008 servers,VMWARE 3-4, CISCO routers, firewall, and switches, phone support, monitoring applications) and now Linux Engineer (Installing and supporting Company enterprise applications for data market managements, installing and troubleshooting some Linux network services).
As you can see, I have a little bit of all but not SQL.
I want to switch career to either Windows SQL DBA or ORACLE DBA.
Do you think that I may have the change to start fresh as DBA? It is yes what do you recommend to get my foot in the job?
Thanks
