The Waiting Game
To figure this out, we look at average CPU, and average duration.
If the duration is 4x higher than CPU, something weird might be happening.
What are weird things?
- Blocking
- Linked Servers
- Poor client code
- Waiting on other resources
- Waiting to get on CPUs to run
It will take some digging to figure this one out, but it’s a good thing to look at.
