There are 3 kinds of restores:

  1. One-off restores to fix an emergency
  2. Testing your backups
  3. Recurring, scheduled restores (like refreshing a dev server)

In this module, I’m going to focus on the most common one by far, the first one. I’ll talk about the gotchas of what happens when you need to restore a few rows or a table, a single database, multiple databases, system databases, or the entire server.
