Who’s Hiring Database People? June 2026 Edition

Is your company hiring for a database position as of June 2026? Do you wanna work with the kinds of people who read this blog? Let’s make a love connection.

You probably don't wanna hire these two.If your company is hiring, leave a comment. The rules:

  • Your comment must include the job title, and either a link to the full job description, or the text of it.
  • An email address to send resumes, or a link to the application process – if I were you, I’d put an email address because you may want to know that applicants are readers here, because they might be more qualified than the applicants you regularly get.
  • Please state the location and include REMOTE and/or VISA when that sort of candidate is welcome. When remote work is not an option, include ONSITE.
  • Please only post if you personally are part of the hiring company—no recruiting firms or job boards. Only one post per company. If it isn’t a household name, please explain what your company does.
  • It has to be a data-related job.

If your comment isn’t relevant or smells fishy, I’ll delete it. If you have questions about why your comment got deleted, or how to maximize the effectiveness of your comment, contact me.

  1. I hate to say it, but since I do watch/read news, I won’t be surprised if the number of jobs here turns out to be zero. It’s brutal out there, to include government security clearance jobs. Best of luck to all my fellow job seekers.

    1. I can still recommend you if you have some edge case combination of skills.
For an instance, if you are Heavy on SnowFlake (not pretended) and MS SQL Senior DBA level. and can do Terraform for both.
And English is your first language.

Mission is almost impossible for a few months….

  2. Conagra Brands in Omaha Nebraska is hiring. I’ve been here 26 years and it’s a great company with great work/life balance. The position will be for a SQL Server Database Administrator but MAY be listed as a different name. For example, I am a Solutions Architect, but I’m the lead DBA for SQL Server and Oracle. I am waiting for the post to be officially published. For the job title, once its published, search for Omaha (location), search for job family of “Information Technology” and that will limit the positions returned. The position will be a hybrid – meaning you are in the office in Omaha Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and work remote Monday and Fridays. The job description is not posted, but it is anything related to managing and maintaining SQL Servers, databases, patching, auditing, performance tuning, backups, restores and all the other fun DBA tasks. We use Jira stories and sprint planning to manage the work. You need to have valid work papers or citizenship in the U.S. already (CAG will not pay for your work authorizations.) I would be interviewing you personally and it would be in person at some point as well. If you don’t know what Conagra Brands does, just look in your pantry or refrigerator for any Healthy Choice, Hunts, Slim Jim, Orville Redenbacher popcorn, Birds Eye veggies, Marie Callender’s, Reddi-wip, gardein,Swiss Miss, Wish-Bone and …. a lot more.

    1. sorry, that should have read… “the job is not posted YET…. but they are working on getting it posted so keep checking and share your information with me so I can get you through if you get pre-filtered out before your resume reaches me.”

    2. There seems to be an opening for both a senior database engineer (https://careers.conagrabrands.com/us/en/job/Req-037374/Sr-Data-Engineer)

As well as an experienced Databricks platform engineer
      (https://careers.conagrabrands.com/us/en/job/Req-036730/Platform-Engineer-Analytics-Platform-Databricks).

Do you know if your team will be looking for entry level roles in the near future? If not, do you think the relevant hiring managers at Conagra would accept certifications as an alternative to actual experience?

    1. Your best bet for negotiating would be to submit your resume, see how far you get in the process, and if the company really likes you at that point, begin your negotiations there. Otherwise, you don’t really have much of a chance.

      1. But if I apply now, and start trying to negotiate for complete remote once they extend an offer, the offer can be pulled and I can be labelled as “unable to follow directions”. I’d like to avoid that.

        1. J.D. – I’m going to be brutally honest here and to the point, because I’m sure you’re as busy as I am.

I need you to hear me: you do not want to negotiate job terms in the comment section of a blog post. Go submit your resume to the company.

  3. SQL Server DBA – DFW (ONSITE / HYBRID)
We’re hiring a SQL Server DBA to join our infrastructure team. This is a direct hire role (no recruiters involved). You’ll be supporting cloud-based data platforms and working closely with IT developers, analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and systems engineers.
    About us
We’re a mid-size organization running fully in the cloud with a modern data platform built on SQL Server and Azure. The DBA team sits under infrastructure and plays a key role in keeping production systems stable, fast, and reliable across a wide mix of workloads.
    What you’ll be doing

Support and monitor production SQL Server environments in Azure
Performance tuning (query optimization, indexing, execution plans)
Manage backups, restores, and high availability/disaster recovery
Troubleshoot production issues and work directly with dev and data teams
Help maintain and improve reliability across critical business systems

    What we’re looking for

3+ years as a DBA supporting production SQL Server environments
Strong fundamentals in performance tuning and troubleshooting
Experience working in cloud-hosted environments (Azure preferred)
Comfortable collaborating across dev, data, and infrastructure teams
Someone who wants to grow their career here long-term, not just jump to the next role

    Details

Location: DFW, TX (ONSITE / HYBRID required, no full remote)
    Salary: ~100k
No visa sponsorship at this time

    How to apply
    Email me directly at: thalsell@ethosgroup.com
Include “BrentOzar DBA” in the subject so I know where you came from.
