We founded SQLCruise because we were tired of conferences that made us run from one classroom to the other for short sessions. We never got a chance to bond with our fellow students, and frankly, that was the best part of the entire conference. We decided to build an event that let attendees learn from each other as well as the instructors.
Our first cruise in 2010 sold out, and we’ve been having a great time ever since. Our next cruise leaves Seattle in May for a week at sea with incredible personalities like Buck Woody, Aaron Bertrand, and Grant Fritchey – plus all of us from Brent Ozar PLF. It’s going to be the experience of a lifetime.
We believe you should remember more than just the material.
Here’s thoughts from our SQLCruise attendees:
- Crys Manson’s SQL Cruise Tips
- Gavin Payne: Why I’m Going to SQL Cruise
- John Robel on Where The Good Training Has Gone
- Jorge Segarra: I’m No Longer On a Boat
- Matt Velic on SQLCruise Sponsors
- Yanni Robel: “So You Want to Go on SQLCruise?”
If this sounds like your kind of event, sign up for the SQLCruise email list and we’ll alert you when we announce new cruises and new training experiences.
The best way to explain it is probably our movie trailer from SQLCruise Miami 2011:
If you’d like us to bring this same kind of magical experience to your company’s internal training events, contact us.
