This August, we’re goin’ back to Texas.

Last year, we flew the team out to Round Rock, Dell’s HQ, and ran all kinds of SQL Server experiments in their hardware labs. We broadcasted a whole bunch of webcasts live on the net for you to watch and see what we learned.
This year, we’re going back again, and the lineup includes sessions on:
- How to Measure SQL Server
- The Unbearable Lightness of BEGIN
- Downtime Train
- Performance Overhead of TDE, Query Store, BPE
- And everybody’s favorite from last year: Watch SQL Server Break and Explode

Wow! That is a really great video! Was it done in-house? If so, what tools did you use?
SQL Server Break and Explode won’t be the same without T-Rex Doug.
Doesn’t seem I can sign up on their website after I put in all my information. Submit button stays greyed out. Maybe I am doing something wrong but I will check back later to see if they get that fixed. Cheers
Try it in IE. The form tries to fill in your address based on company name. Chrome did not like it _at all_.
I think that form is so badly designed it needs IE6, Java and Flash installed, while *not* using NoScript, HTTPS Everywhere or Ghostery.
Had to RDP onto one of our servers to get the magic combo for the form’s Javascript/tracking/DynamicCompanyListAndAddressAutoFiller to work, but we got there in the end 🙂
Yay for watching the BrentOzar Team play with Dell hardware!
Its sad that you are coming just few miles away from me (and other SQL enthusiast I know in area) and we will not get a chance to meet you in person, is there a possibility of meet and greet? all I need is few selfies with you (on my resume) to claim I am really good at SQL Server
Rizwan – sorry, unfortunately this is only a virtual event, we’re not doing meet and greets. Thanks though, and catch you at events like PASS or Intersections or SQLSaturdays.
Will these videos be available for download after the event to watch later?
Yes they certainly will be available on demand for your viewing pleasure.
I’m also unable to submit after filling out all of the information. The submit button stays greyed out.
I was able to sign up for all of the sessions except for the ones stating “(live demos)” in the titles.
Just tried to register for those two sessions again and it worked.
I just tried again and still greyed out for me. I tried to remove the live demos and the submit button is grey.
I was able to sign up using Internet Explorer. The Submit button remained Greyed out when trying to sign up using Chrome.
Thanks! I was using Firefox and it was doing something really strange with the Company field. I switched over to IE and it worked fine and I was able to complete the registration.
Registered. Got the emails from Dell. All of the calendar hits overwrote each other. Pffff.
These webcasts look awesome!
Is there any chance, whatsoever, that you could record these events so those of us who live in the opposite side of the world, could watch these fantastic webcasts, during the day, while we are awake and alert?
Andrew – they’ll most likely be recorded, enjoy!
I joined WebEx but sound is dropped more than half of the session.
Looking forward to recoreded version too, Many thanks!
Hi Brent,
Service Broker External Activator for SQL 2016 has been release or not.is there a way to connect Service broker with source as SQL DB and target as PostgreSQL.
AR – we don’t do work with Service Broker or PostgreSQL, so I have no idea. For random unrelated questions, your best bet is a Q&A site like http://dba.stackexchange.com.
