Don’t you just hate updating your resume? It feels so awkward writing about yourself and trying to describe yourself in a single page.
We convinced a few SQL Server professionals to submit their resumes for review, and we’ll help do an Extreme Resume Makeover. Our tips for their resumes will help you too.

Hi Brent / Jeremiah / Kendra,
It is really wonderful, I am going to open my resume and edit it accordingly.
I am having one question for Brent, you didn’t pay any attention to the certification mentioned in the first CV, does it mean that it has lost its importance. OR ????.
Thank you.

Tahir – I’ve blogged about how I feel on certifications here:

Out of curiosity, are you coming across employers that are using stackoverflow’s career search? What about candidates that are recruited through other channels but submit the PDF version of their stackoverflow CV to employer? I got my current gig through StackOverflow, and turned down several good offers from the site, I’m just curious what you see since your in the unique position to interview for several employers.

Justin – we aren’t running across employers using it, but I’ve suggested it to a few employers.

Is there a way we can see the ‘anonymized’ resume in Kendra’s portion @ 22:10? I liked the analysis of the broad strokes, but I’d like to see it with a little more detail.

Hi Team,
Thank you for the awesome insights!! They are greatly appreciated.
Where might one find an open source project around SSRS and SSAS to contribute to?
Kind regards,
Charles

Charles – check out the active site http://Codeplex.com, which is a Microsoft-focused repository for open source projects.
