And now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for. The select statement, please:
Congratulations to the lucky winners, who will each get an Apple iPad 16GB with 3G and Red Gate SQL Monitor!
I’d like to thank Red Gate Software for making this contest possible and making our holiday spirits bright. Reading everybody’s thoughts about where they’d go if they didn’t have to worry about their SQL Servers gave me a lot of laughs. The holidays help us refocus on what really matters: our friends and family. We work hard so that we can enjoy our time with them, and anything that can help me relax and let go of my 9-5 work, I’m all over it.
Grant Fritchey picked 10 winners who identified their most common causes of server outages, and Steve Jones picked 10 winners who talked about things they could do better with a tablet. Happy Holidays everybody, and enjoy your new iPads and SQL Monitor.

Awesome! I have a current project where Red Gate SQL Monitor will be a huge help. Oh, and the iPad isn’t too bad, either.

Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.
I’m so geeked to get an IPad and a chance to use Red Gate SQL Monitor.

LOL, the winners of a *SQL Server* monitoring tool were chosen using a query with a *LIMIT*.
Brent Ozar December 20, 2010 | 8:18 am
Hahaha, yeah, PHPMyAdmin already puts that in by default when you’re working with MySQL.

Yeeeee…….
Just the right time for the right tools.
Thanks Brent Ozar and SQL Gate!!!!!!!

hahaha
Brent Ozar December 20, 2010 | 8:40 am
Yep, I’m a HUGE WordPress cheerleader. It’s by far the best blog platform I’ve seen, and it works great with MySQL.
Niko Neugebauer December 20, 2010 | 11:22 am
Totally agree with you.
When I was blogging, WordPress was THE platform for the web, and it should be even more like this today.
Though i have to add that while our community uses Drupal with MySQL at the moment i am quite excited about a new Drupal version which will finally work with SQL Server. We have our analytics data in a SQL Server database, so would love to hook it up together.

Sweet!! Thanks so much Brent and Red-Gate for putting out this promotion. I’m really excited to fire up SQL Monitor on my new iPad!! I guess I should make good on my original comment now, and head out on a cruise in the Mediterranean, huh??
