Columbus PASS Chapter Thursday on LiveMeeting

This Thursday night at 6:45 PM Eastern, I’ll be presenting at the Columbus Ohio SQL Server Users Group meeting, and you can watch over the web.

I’ll be talking about Perfmon and Profiler, my favorite two tools for performance tuning.  I’ll show you how to get started with these tools, how to slice and dice the results, and even how to data mine the results to look for interesting trends.

I’ll be presenting virtually using LiveMeeting.  On Thursday night at 6:45 PM Eastern, click on this LiveMeeting link and watch the fun unfold.  To hear the audio, you’ll need to dial into 866-846-3997, passcode 547064.  I’ll take questions in the Q&A button in LiveMeeting, and maybe over Twitter as well if I’m feeling dangerous.

For first-time LiveMeeting users, check your machine ahead of time to make sure you’ve got the prerequisite software – otherwise it takes around 5-10 minutes to load, which feels like 20-30 minutes when you’re missing a presentation.

We’re looking at ways to do this with Ustream, but since this is my first remote user group meeting, I’ll be playing it safe on this one and using the technology I’m used to!

For a reminder, you can add this to your Outlook calendar.
