Wanna feel good fast? Got $25?

Erin Nies, a creative Houston photographer and Caroline Collective peep, is running/biking/swimming a triathlon next week.

Or maybe she’s not – she’s short on the fundraising part of it, and that’s where you come in.

She’s short of the required fundraising target, and if she doesn’t met the minimum today, she won’t be able to go to DC to do the triathlon.  That kills me, because she trains like crazy and she’s been looking forward to this for quite a while.

Check out Erin’s Team-in-Training fundraising page, and if you want to feel good fast, make a donation.  Giving to causes like this always puts a big smile on my face.  I’ll never do a tri, but donating makes me feel like I picked her up and carried her closer to the finish line.  If you’d like to spread the word, she’s Erinen31 on Twitter.

Update 10AM CST: her minimum required goal is $3,900, not the full $4,900 shown on the page.  C’mon, peeps, just $300 left…

Update 3PM CST: we did it!  She met her goal.  A big thank-you to everybody who helped her cross the finish line.

I just want to thank you again for everything. I am blown away by the response I received from you & everyone else online. It just goes to show that there are still LOTS of great, caring people out there in this world. I can’t even properly express how grateful I am to you & everyone that helped. My cup runneth over. Thank you again & again!
