The error was the sql server services wouldn’t start. I traced it with visual studio and if i remember correctly, it runs an 64-bit code.

It’s sql server 2005 developer edition.

Forgot to mention.
I have 4gb of ram.
And i install on 32-bit windows XP SP3.

Hello.

I am using AMD Phenom II X6 1055T.
I have this problem while i am trying to install sql server 2005 on windows xp sp3. The workaround with /NUMPROCS=1 doesn’t work.
But i found the solution by disabling all the other 5-cores on BIOS.
After i sucessfully install it, i apply the SP3 for sql server 2005, then re-enable all the cores.

Solve the problem.
