Ben and I finishing the Run for Miracles

Ben and I finishing the Run for Miracles

I ran a 5k this morning in Delray Beach with Ben, the guy from work who got me started on the whole running thing.

At our post-race breakfast at Cracker Barrel (helllooo, calories), I said that I don’t enjoy running at all, but I’m doing it for the long run. When I’m 50, and I’m not having a heart attack, I’m going to thank myself. Fingers crossed.

Didn’t know you were a runner. Was following a path and ran across your 2007 blog posts, good stuff.

    Still running?

Funny you mention it – I was training for the Disney Marathon, and I had to abort the training when I was sent up to Chicago for a few weeks in the dead of winter. When we moved to Michigan, I gave it up. I’d like to start again though – I did enjoy runs up to about 5-6 miles. Beyond that, and it started to get to be a lot of work.
