Turtles are not maintenance-free. Just got done cleaning their tank – two hours of schlepping dirty water over to the bathroom, schlepping clean water back in, cleaning the filter, rebuilding their little ramp so they can walk up out of the water easier, and what’s the first thing they do? The very first thing? You got it, they lay a big old log. Ingrates.

Seriously, they’re so adorable. Fred still loves climbing up my leg, up my chest, up my neck, and perching himself up on top of my head. I gotta get Erika to take a picture of that one of these days.
